Who we are:

OSCNA, formed in 1999, serves as a forum for discussion and solutions for neighborhood concerns. We work with local government agencies to maintain the latest news and information for association members

What we strive to do:

  • Promote neighborhood pride

  • Unite community in friendship

  • Empower residents to improve neighborhoods

  • Promote communication and community cohesiveness within all of the Town of Speedway

Our neighborhood participates in HUNI (Historic Urban Neighborhoods of Indianapolis), an advocacy group supporting the preservation, revitalization and interests of Indy’s local historic neighborhoods. HUNI’s website (HUNIIndy.org) provides a portal to access quick links to other local historic neighborhoods, city-wide or state-wide events open to the general public—such as the Historic Neighborhood Walking Tours, home tours, garage sales, and lectures. Additionally, the site also shares information to assist homeowners in researching the history of their home, Indiana Landmarks Top 10 Indiana Endangered List and news articles, such as the recent controversy over electronic billboards.

What we do for fun:

  • Annual Block Party/Barbecue

  • Earth Month neighborhood and alley cleanup

  • Annual Community Sale

  • Attend town events

  • Trunk or Treat

  • Social Events

  • Festive Neighbor Recognition

  • Annual Progressive Dinner

  • Just to name a few. Look for more new and exciting events to come

  • Ideas are welcome
